Drywall shims can be used for floating butt-joints, framing irregularities, hanging door jambs and cabinets and shimming counter tops, pre-fabricated shower stalls and windows. Shims can be attached with screws or nails to framing members of each side of a butt-joint to allow a greater inset at the drywall joint.
