- Douglas Fir is the major species produced in the West, with more volume shipped than any other species, and its sterling performance history is recognized the world over
- While not an official grade of wood, "Clear" indicates that the lumber is virtually free of knots and visual defects and is suitable for remanufacture to moldings, stairway handrails, trim, cabinet work or a variety of other products where lumber of high appearance is required
- The wood dried at during as part of the manufacturing process and is less likely to warp or check after installation
- Jamb stock molding is designed for use on the inner sides and top of a doorway; the v-joints allow the board to remain more dimensionally stable over time
